Men-Tei Ramen: Shio

Restaurant: Men-Tei, 61 Robinson Road, #01-01 Robinson Center

Comments (Updated):
  1. Damn good clear soup. Shio is "salt-base".
  2. Cha-shu melts in your mouth. Always go for additional toppings.
  3. Noodles are home-made and chewy. Doesn't taste like instant noodle (like at some other ramen shop).
  4. Apparently, ingredients are fresh and flown daily from Japan. Apparently.
  5. With other soup base (e.g. tonkatsu, miso) sure there are better options ... but for Shio this is the best.

  1. The noodles are handmade and very chewy. There are a few types of soup base - miso, spicy miso, shio, tonkatsu. I personally prefer miso because I like corn with the soup.
