Dessert House: Lemongrass Pork Chop Rice

Comments:

1. Best grilled pork chop ever. I have tried so many other pork chops after leaving Melbourne but none came close. Fragrant with lemongrass, without being salty.
2. Comes with a nicely fried egg (I usually avoid fried eggs, but can't resist this one) and chopped spring onions.
3. They do have the chicken option too, which is good, but not as fantastic as the pork.
   
4. The place is usually crowded but definitely worth the queue.

Men-Tei Ramen: Shio

Restaurant: Men-Tei, 61 Robinson Road, #01-01 Robinson Center

Comments (Updated):

1. Damn good clear soup. Shio is "salt-base".
   
2. Cha-shu melts in your mouth. Always go for additional toppings.
   
3. Noodles are home-made and chewy. Doesn't taste like instant noodle (like at some other ramen shop).
4. Apparently, ingredients are fresh and flown daily from Japan. Apparently.
   
5. With other soup base (e.g. tonkatsu, miso) sure there are better options ... but for Shio this is the best.
